Description

This is a stunning large hall stand. It is Victorian, probably dating to around 1870 and is made in mahogany. The hall stand is spectacular with big arched frame holding beautifully turned hat and coat supports. It has a central arched bevelled mirror. Below there is a marble topped plinth with glove (car key!) drawer beneath. The stick stand retains its original metal drip trays with curved arms to rest your umbrellas and sticks and there are two heavily carved shaped legs to support the plinth. This is a beautiful piece.

The condition is good. I wonder if there would have been a central peg above the mirror? The mahogany is well polished. The mirror is clean with very minor age related speckling. The marble is good. This is ready to go in to your home.

The stand will look magnificent in a grand hallway. It has scale and presence.

The hall stand is 52 inches wide and 86 inches high.
