These are a very good set of mahogany dining chairs. They are Regency and date to around 1820. Technically speaking they are a set of five and one, because one of the chairs has been made at a later date to match the other five. You would only know this by taking the seats out and examining the blocks. I would imagine it would have cost more to get a cabinet maker to make one identical chair than I am asking for the entire set!

The chairs are in good condition. The chairs have typically elegant Regency detailing with sun motif to the crest rail and intricate designs to the mid rail. Unusually there is no damage to any of this delicate carving. The chairs have sabre front legs and swept back legs and reeded aprons.

The chairs have drop in seats. These have been recovered. The material is clean and unworn but it would be easy to tack over a material in keeping with your own colour scheme.

The chairs are in good condition. The mahogany glows. Signs of old worm (minor) as you would expect in chairs of this age. Long since dead. Joints good.

This is a very good and very elegant set of period chairs. They are ready to go straight in to your home.

Each chair is 32 inches high to the back and the seat is 18 inches high and the seat is 19 inches wide.
