Antique mahogany pair of William IV library chairs

Description

These are a top quality pair of library or side chairs. They are made in solid mahogany and date to the reign of William IV, around 1830. The pair of chairs have flame mahogany top rails with carved gadrooned edge. The mid rail is intricately carved with a bow design. The chairs have reeded and turned front legs and swept back legs with a reeded apron. The drop in seats are covered in thick red leather hide. This is top quality.

The chairs are in wonderful condition. Joints good. Leather perfect. The mahogany polished and glowing.

These are a top quality pair of chairs. With their leather seats they have the manly elegance of Library furniture. Good things.

Each chair is 33 inches high to the back. The seat is 18 inches high and 18 inches wide.
