Description

This is a good Georgian nightstand or bedside cabinet. It is made in solid mahogany and dates to around 1800. The nightstand is very elegant. The design, like that of all Georgian furniture, is very simple and uncluttered. There is real elegance in this simplicity. The nightstand has butler's tray handles. It stands on stile legs with a cupboard and drawer below. The drawer and cupboard retain their original brass handles which are particularly fine. The drawer and cupboards have boxwood inlay stringing and the drawer front, cupboard doors and top are in flame mahogany.

The cabinet is in good solid condition. No sign of worm. Marks and minor cracks as you would expect in a piece this age but nothing worth highlighting.

This is a really good period bedside. It will look good in a bedroom furnished in antiques or vintage, especially in mahogany.

The nightstand is 31 inches high and 19.5 inches wide and 17 inches deep.
