Description

This is a top quality Georgian stool. The stool dates to the reign of George III, around 1800. What I love about period Georgian furniture is the simplicity of the design. There is real elegance in this simplicity. Look at the quality of the walnut in the chamfered legs. The stool is covered in a tapestry material which has some age in it and commensurate wear but you wouldn't want to change it. The chair has its original strap brackets underneath.

The chair is in wonderful condition for age with no sign of worm or damage. Joints solid. Walnut well polished.

This is a very good period stool and would look wonderful in a principal room furnished in period antiques or in a bedroom.

The stool is 21 inches wide and 16 inches deep and 19 inches high.
