Description

This is a very good hall or throne chair. It is made in solid oak and is Victorian, dating to around 1900. The armchair is heavily carved in the Carolean style. The chair has a bergere cane back and seat. The seat has been recaned at some time and the caning is in wonderful condition. The chair has big carved arms with turned arm supports. The chair has carved and turned legs with big bold turned stretchers. This is a good quality and imposing period chair.

The chair is in very good condition. No damage or worm. The oak is well polished and the joints are solid.

This is such a dramatic furnishing piece. It will look good in a hall or on the turn of a stairs especially in a period house or one furnished in oak or antiques.
