Description

These are a good pair of single beds. They date to the 1930s - 1950s and are made in burr walnut. They are very opulent looking beds with a lot of shape to the headboard and 'horns' and stand on pretty cabriole legs. The beds are in the Queen Anne style of the day and they were made to impress.

The beds are in good vintage condition. They come with original side irons and bases. The beds are solid when built and all the joints are good. Minor scratches from usage as you would expect - see last photo. The beds split for moving.

The beds take standard single mattresses 36 inches wide and 76 inches long.

What I love about this design of bed is that they are very airy without a footboard closing you in and at the same time they look very impressive and elegant with the rich wood and stylised 'horns'. These beds would look very good in a guest bedroom furnished in Art Deco or antique.

Each bed takes a standard single mattress 36 inches wide and 76 inches long. The headboard is 53 inches high and the footboard is 26 inches high.

If you require a courier to deliver, do not despair as it is a lot easier to arrange than you would imagine and probably a lot cheaper as well. Most couriers cover most parts of the country on a three week cycle. Once you have booked with them they will get in touch with me directly for collection so you only need concern yourself with the delivery date to you.

You pay the couriers for their service on delivery.
