Giltwood Mirror Carved with Cherubs and Ho-Ho bird


Description
A very large and handsome giltwood mirror carved with winged cherubs, ho-ho birds and expansive scrolling foliage. Each corner set with a stylised fleur de lis and the whole frame in very good condition for age, stable and solid and really beautiful.The handmade mirror plate reflects well and has an atmospheric soft silver hue.
In the Baroque manner, gilt/gold over gesso on a carved pine frame and in good original condition for age and a really beautiful Georgian period mirror that is ready to hang.
Dimensions of the frame are: 38 inches wide, 28 inches high and 3.75 inches deep
Dimensions of the mirror plate are: 24.5 inches wide and 17 inches high.
