A superb Regency Sienna Marble Library Clock. Having a Sienna Marble Case with a Bronze of Sophocles Bust cresting, the case decorated in bronze mounts and raised on decorative bronzed feet, the silver dial with a highly unusual and wonderful stylised Serpent Bezel. The silver dial signed 'Archinard A Paris'. The French striking movement with silk suspension and outside count wheel. French, Circa 1820.Dimensions: Height: 52 cm - 20 1/2 Inches, Width: 23 cm - 9 Inches, Depth: 13.5 cm - 5 1/4 Inches.
