Description

An 18th Century carved silver Giltwood display Cabinet, probably Florentine, circa 1770, of serpentine form. The carved broken arch cornice above a pair of shaped doors containing three serpentine shaped shelves and with mirrored back,the sides of corresponding shape with panels now containing mesh ( originally glazed).

The base with shaped frieze drawer, carved skirt and containing a single shelf. The silver gilt in worn condition, all carved elements present and displaying wear to finish, minor marks, scratches, stains consistent with age and use. Various minor repairs to decorative carving where these have inevitably been caught and damaged over time.

This item separates into two pieces for ease of access and delivery.
