This is one rare beast, not just any old cart, but a antique cart that has probably moved more value than anyone could reasonably imagine in a hundred life times. Provenance - collected from the back door of The Bank Of England(legitimately). Unfortunately no contents, not a gram. This cart would make a fantastic occasional table whether in the home or in a business(the conversation piece of all time). To carry bullion this cart needed to be extremely heavy duty and my goodness it certainly is. It weighs a ton (at least four men to pick it up) yet wheels and turns very freely. Three of these were purchased at the same time, one has already sold and I kept one personally and it shall be my coffee table for quite soon time. These carts would have been replaced with some kind of modern powered forklift and would have been made redundant. Our best estimate of age would be prior to rubber wheels, which would suggest 1920. Condition is great. A never again opportunity to acquire a piece of English history. Constructed of a cast iron and steel bodywork, a teak top and an enamel numberplate.
