Description

A good Terrestrial globe on a Regency style mahogany Stand. It has deeply coloured oceans and countries divided by empire colors. The Globe depicts railways, cables and ocean currents, the equation of time and is labelled by the Makers Kittinger of Buffalo, New York. The ecliptic horizontal is marked with the days, months and signs of the Zodiac and a movable cast bronze meridian It stands on a turned mahogany stand that has reeded outsplayed legs with brass claw cap feet. This globe dates from 1928-1929, this is ascertained by Peking is listed, (post 1928), but Istanbul is listed as Constantinople (pre 1930).

Current Condition
In excellent original condition, the globe is without any repairs or blemishes, There is a small 1cm square blemish on the horizontal ecliptic ring at September. The base has been re polished. If you would like a 360 video clip of ths item please email us.
