Description
A superb early 18th century Oil on canvas of Venice in the style of Luca Carlevarijs.The painting is finely painted and depicts a scene of Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Venice, Italy. The painting is set in a gilt carved frame , decorated with garlands of fruit.
I also have an Image of an engraving done by Luca Carlevarjis of the nearly identical scene, I can provide this image upon request.
The painting has been relined probably in the late 19th century with some age related losses, but overall in fabulous condition.
