1796 pattern cavalry troopers sword in it's original scabbard marked as by Dawes, Birmingham. Has a steel stirrup hilt with a ribbed, leather covered wooden grip. There is a broad, single edged curved blade with an issue stamp. the broad, curved scabbard has two hanging rings. There are two small dents to the scabbard and a slight crease to the end of the scabbard - see photos. It is generally rust stained overall but in good, soldi, original condition.

Approximately 98cm overall and blade 83cm.
