A very good example of a Victorian 18CT Gold Pocket Watch made by J W Benson of London. The case with full English hallmarks, "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the London town mark and maker's mark "JWB" for J W Benson, the date letter worn.
The movement signed by the maker "JW Benson" and "The Ludgate Watch, Best London Make". It is also signed "By Warrant to H.M. The Queen" (Queen Victoria).
There is a presentation inscription on the inner cuvette, dated March 1901. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
