The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 640, which is working well. The high grade movement is stamped A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass, U.S.A. 17 jewels adjusted, 3 possitions and the serial number 24437278 which dates it back to 1923. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the stem. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, Dennisons manufactured most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case has light surface marking from use and some light wear to the edge of the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The signed white dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes on a vintage gold plated Albert chain with horse fob.
The chain measures 24.5 cm long including the clasps.
The chain and fob are in nice condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
