1924 silver Arcadia pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as being a Fleurier piece, and it is working nicely.
The watch measures 44mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh (import mark), 1924. It is a slightly smaller slimmer watch than the earlier heavy Victorian pieces, more elegant with typical 1920s style.
Overall the condition is good for such an early piece. A few small marks around the sides and a hint of unevenness to the hinged case back.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is signed Arcadia, a brand name registered by the Fleurier Watch Company in 1915. Original handsome blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track. There is some age related darkening but still very easy to read the time.
The watch comes with a single chain, 24cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The links have the lion silver mark. There is also a religious fob attached.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
