The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a couple of small indentations.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1918 with a sponsor’s mark for George Stockwell. From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail. The case has a ding to the side and the odd minor mark but all very acceptable for a 1918 piece.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary dial and outer minute track. There is a patch of faint hairlines at number 10 but quite difficult to see with the naked eye.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
