1930s Art Deco full hunter pocket watch
A 1930s Art Deco full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which are details of the movement and it mentions a medal won in 1902 at Lille, this was the first international exhibition in Lille and it ran from June to October of 1902. It covered many different areas including industry, science, agriculture, horticulture and fine arts.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and it has attractive Art Deco patterns to the front and back. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial has some age related darkening. Attractive hour and minute hands, possibly replacements but of the right style for the age of the watch, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
