1938 silver Equity Watch Company pocket watch
1938 silver Equity Watch Company pocket watch.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Equity Watch Co, Boston, USA, a trade name on pocket watch movements manufactured for Equity by the American Waltham Watch Company. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Birmingham 1938 together with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, an English case maker. The case has the odd mark and small light bruise but overall is very acceptable for a 1930s piece.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is in lovely condition.
Also included is a single silver chain, each link has the lion silver mark. The chain weighs 20g.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
