A 1954 9K gold JW Benson wristwatch. An unusual two tone dial with Roman numerals inside an outer track. Blued steel 'pencil' hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. A 9K gold case made by Dennison. An English made manual mind 16 jewel mechanism signed 'JW Benson', made by Smiths. JW Benson used Smiths mechanisms in some of their mechanisms and were usually featured with a higher number of jewels than the standard range. Gold hallmarks date this to 1954.
