1960's Vintage Mahogany & Brass Desk
An absolutely gorgeous and impressive vintage desk in mahogany. This was made in England and was originally purchased from Heal’s in the 1960’s.
The quality is superb, this is very large and extremely well made. The mahogany top and pedestals are supported by an ebonised wood frame. There are solid brass feet caps which have been replaced, and solid brass handles. The back is also beautifully finished, so this can be used as a free standing partners desk.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout. The drawers each have a locking key that come with this. We have left the brass handles as they are, slightly darkened with patina, as we think it looks lovely like that. They could be polished up to look shiny and new very easily if you prefer.
