4' Mahogany Pedestal Desk

PEDESTAL DESK
4’ EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DESK – A9363
A fine quality Edwardian mahogany pedestal desk, with attractive ‘fiddle back’ grain to the drawer fronts. The top has an inset leather scriber with gilt tooling, a thumbnail mould to the edge, and is raised on two pedestals with graduating drawers and Georgian style brass ‘swan neck’ handles, on plinth bases. The top lifts off the pedestals for ease of transport.
Width 48″ (122cm) Depth 26″ (66cm) Height 30″ (76cm)
Kneehole Dimensions Width 24” (61cm) Height 24” (61cm)
Condition and Details of Restoration
This item is in original structural condition and is completely sound. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. We have also had the leather scriber replaced, with the finest hand-stained genuine cow hide. There are some old marks, knocks, and scuffs underneath the polish, as might be expected on a desk of this age, but nothing major. In our opinion, the photographs are representative.
