A C.18th Antique Carved Oak Side Table
A Charming George II C.18th Antique Carved Oak Side Table
Measuring approximately 27" x 21 1/2" x 27 1/2"(width, depth, height)
A charming small table dating from around 1760.
Raised on tapered legs with pad feet and including pretty lunette carvings to frieze back and sides.
The front of the very useful original pine lined drawer is decorated with foliate carvings and central shield furnished with original brass ring handle.
The spandrels a later edition quite probably designed to strengthen this rare and quite fragile piece.
Lovely rich dark oak patina throughout.
There is some minor evidence of historic worm now fully stabilised. Also some minor wear to the front table top corners....nothing too detrimental.
