A fabulous and very fine quality ormolu and dark blue enamel box with applied ormolu swags to the lid with the central letter E surmounted with a royal coronet. The boarder of the lid is decorated with ormolu swags. The box has four canted corners with blue enamel centres surrounded with a white enamel border and the external base is basket work decoration. The internal area is bright polished gilt with a royal coronet applied to the inside of the lid. Thought to be mid European or possibly Swiss. In pristine condition.
