A Georgian Creamware Bin Wine Lable
This hand painted piece of creamware would have been used to indentify the contents of a wine bin in the cellar,probably of a large house.
At that time wine wasnt sold in bottles, in fact it was illegal to do so. Wine was
stored in a large cask, known as a bin, and these lables were pinned to the wall to indentify the wine.
Wines were then decanted into bottles for use in thedining room, and a smaller lable, usually silver, would be hung around the neck.
The lable is glazed on both sides, and has three small chips to the reverse

In the rare case that you wish to return an item, we need notification within 48 hours of delivery. We will then refund the cost of the item back to you in full, less transport costs involved. The item must then be delivered back to our showroom within 14 days in the exact same condition as it left us.
STORAGE
Should an item not be ready for immediate delivery, we are able to hold stock at our shop in Cowbridge. Items may be subject to a storage fee where applicable.
