An antique Continental pocket watch.
The watch has a key wound cylinder movement which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around five minutes over 24 hours. There should be a hinged inner cover but this has gone missing over the years.
The watch itself measures 47mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case was originally plated but a lot of his has worn down with use and it now has a pale gold / silvery coloured finish.
The acrylic lens is in good order.
The white enamel dial is signed Adolf Bormann Barsinghausen a D, probably the original retailer. There is some damage around number 2 and some hairline cracks in the top half of the dial. The ornate hands are a charming feature.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
