Antique Carved Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk
A lovely mahogany desk. We date this desk to the early 20th century.
The table sits on four downward tapered carved square section legs with spade feet. There is a single drawer above the kneehole area, two small drawers to the right hand side and a single deep drawer with a dummy two drawer frontage to the left.
The drawers have attractive mouldings and are fitted with brass button handles, the central drawer has carved areas below and is fitted with a lock (key is supplied).
The top surface has a new tan leather insert.
The desk has an overall height of 29.5" (75cm), a width of 46.5" (118cm) and a depth of 21.5" (55cm).
This lovely desk remains in a good solid condition. There is some very minor wear to some edges and the drawers have a few ink stains from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant desk. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
