This is an antique console table from the C19th, Scottish with carved oak decoration dating to c.1880.

A handsome console table displaying good colour and grain interest
Attractive wisps of medullary rays shine through the quality waxed finish
The top finished with a carved edge detail and backed with a shaped up-stand
The shaped apron mirrors the up-stand, both beautifully decorated with carved, reciprocating stylised rosettes

Raised on stout 'ball and reel' turned front legs terminating in pear drop feet
Typical flat back legs allow for close wall placement
Shaped stretchers unite the legs each side where carved rosettes decorate the joints
