Antique French Ormolu Mounted Secretaire Desk
An absolutely stunning antique French secretaire desk, dating from around the 1930’s period.
There are amazing gilt bronze features throughout, with a pierced upper gallery, mounts on all edges, drawers and on the base too. The legs are fluted & are joined at the base with a shaped stretcher. I particularly like the gilded urn on the middle of the stretcher & the gilt metal feet.
This has a gorgeous and elegant design, it is very practical too. There is plenty of workspace and storage space, it is also fairly compact and doesn’t take up much space. This comes with three beautiful locking keys, one for each drawer.
We have recently had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout.
