Antique Mahogany Quartetto Nest of Tables

A refined and well-proportioned antique quartetto nest of tables, constructed in finely figured mahogany and elegantly inlaid with delicate satinwood stringing. Each table features a rectangular top with softly rounded corners, bordered by fine line inlay that adds definition without overpowering the clean Edwardian design.
The tables are raised on slender, turned supports united by shaped stretchers, allowing the four pieces to nest neatly together while remaining visually balanced when used individually. The restrained decoration, light proportions and precise joinery are characteristic of high-quality Edwardian craftsmanship, influenced by earlier Sheraton revival forms.
This is a practical and versatile set, ideal for use as occasional tables or side tables, and well suited to entertaining, while retaining a refined and understated presence suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition:
Very good antique condition, with light surface wear and minor marks consistent with age and use. The structure is sound throughout, and the tables nest smoothly.
