Large antique walnut pedestal desk in excellent condition & with a tooled hand colour leather writing surface. This desk is finished & polished on the back, so it’s free standing. The pedestals are panelled on the back & sides & they sit on bracket feet. The drawer fronts are burr walnut & the drawers are graduated in depth, with original brass handles, locks & fine dovetails. This great looking desk is top quality & because of it’s size it has a very generous kneehole space. I would date it to around the 1930-50’s period & it has just been French polished. It also comes apart into three sections for easy transportation.
