Lovely Arts & Crafts gong with the stand in the shape of a smiling fish on an oak base. This supports a copper plated brass oval gong with a sailing ship. It has its original wooden striker The fish is made of iron and copper plated.
Stamped for the maker James Cartland and Sons of Birmingham. Founded in 1823 as Dyer and Cartland and in production until 1955.
Height 37cms. The base measures 24cms x 18cms
