Arts and Crafts Mahogany Bookcase


A late Victorian arts and crafts mahogany bookcase. The base has two doors with geometric moulding the right hand door is stamped with 33978 Hobbs & Co with a working lock. To the centre there is a tunbridge ware/poker work panel. Below there is a lower storage shelf sitting on out swept legs.
The top section has two glazes door with working lock and two shelves. The bookcase has it's original velvet lining. The cornice has the same tunbridge ware design along a fine quality wave moulding.
This is a fine quality, small pretty bookcase which would fit in any modern home.
