A stunning Chinoiserie cabinet on stand in the William & Mary style. The black lacquer ground having raised lacquer decoration with wonderful Chinese scenes. The 2 doors with brass etched hinges and escutcheon plates and open to a removable shelf. The cabinet sits on the original William & Mary style walnut base with gilded rope carved edge above the wide drawer leading to the shaped frieze. The whole raised on well turned legs with bun feet and joined by very good “X” frame stretchers with turned finial. The base with gilded highlights throughout and pierced brass drop handles. In good original condition with working lock & key and ready for the home for useful storage or as a cocktail cabinet. Dimensions:- Height…49.25''/ 125cm. Width...30''/ 76.5cm. Depth...18''/ 45.5cm.
