Bauhaus Modernist tubular steel chrome desk by PEL . Designed by Wells Coates this chromed tubular steel desk with black lacquered top and has a bank of three drawers with chrome handles. PEL label. Practical Equipment Ltd (PEL) was established in 1931 by parent company Tube Investments Arguably the most influential designer for PEL was Wells Coates. Primary an architect Coates is best known for his work on the Isokon flats in London however he also dabbled in design and was the designer of the famous circular Ekco AD65 radio. Measures 69.5 cm high x 114 cm x 60.5 cm deep.
