Bone mounted Japanese wakizashi sword. Carved with monkey's playing in family groups. The bottom of the saya is signed and looks like Shin/Makoto. Total length 25", blade length 12.5". Brass habaki, saya wood lined. A small bone lose as can be seen in the photograph on the lower segment.Carving is very good. Looks 1870's.
