Doulton Lambeth Cauldron Jardiniere, c.1887-1892

A classic late Victorian Doulton Lambeth cauldron planter or small jardiniere. It is 16cm in diameter and stands 14cm high. The bowl of the cauldron is decorated with a vortex swirl pattern whilst the neck has a daisy flower pattern all the way round. The cauldron has three feet and three handles with the handles spaced inbetween the feet, both handles and feet decorated in the instantly recognisable Doulton Lambeth blue. The rim and inside of the neck are in a rich cobalt blue.
The cauldron is in good overall condition with just one very small flaw next to one of the handles, which is part glazed and therefore happened before the final firing. Please make sure to view all the photos.
The marks at the bottom of the inside of the cauldron include the Doulton Lambeth stamp, the AD mark, which is probably Ada Dennis and an AL painted over the top which I haven't been able to identify. There is also an "x" number 1904, which dates the design to the period 1887-1892.
Shipping in the UK is £8 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post. Please be assured that the cauldron will be safely and securely packed for shipping.
Overseas customers please enquire about shipping costs before making a purchase.
