An attractive Rosewood Pole Screen probably early Victorian but possibly earlier.

3 cabriole legs with foliate carved decoration, baluster column and pole supporting shield shaped screen and topped with carved filial.

Lovely silk embroidered scene in golds, browns blues and black featuring 2 large game birds, flowers, birds and butterflies. Additional floral/foliate embroidery in 4 corners. Green silk panel to rear.

Height 1380mm, Screen ~ 450mm x 355mm.

The height of the screen is adjustable to protect the face from the heat of an open fire.

Good antique condition, some discolouration to silk panel but does not seriously detract from this charming piece.
