Edwardian Mahogany Heavily Inlaid Open Bookcase

This is a really good open bookcase. The bookcase is late Victorian / Edwardian, dating to around 1900. It is top quality and incredibly clean for a piece from this period. The bookcase is made in mahogany. The bookcase has some wonderful floral inlay to the frieze and risers. The top has boxwood stringing and the sides have recessed panelling. The shelves too have boxwood stringing to the leading edges and it stands on tapering feet. The shelves are adjustable by height.
This was a top quality piece in its day and would have been incredibly expensive.
The bookcase is in good condition. The mahogany is rich. No sign of worm. Scratch to top - see photo.
This is a very pretty period bookcase and will grace any principal room furnished in antiques.
Good thing.
The bookcase is 36 inches wide and 42 inches high and 14 inches deep.
