Edwardian Oak Windsor Chair by Robertson & Colman
A quality Edwardian oak low back windsor chair / elbow chair by esteemed makers Robertson & Colman of Norwich. Pleasing diminutive form and shape with a curved spindle back over the original cane seat in excellent condition, raised on splayed turned legs united by a H stretcher.
Ideal for use as a low desk chair, dressing table seat or decorative occasional chair.
Very good condition, structurally all in good order with some attractive age related surface wear. Stamped to the rear “1940” which originally was thought to represent a date but after further research this appears to be a manufacturing related code.
English, circa 1910.
