A good and large eight day striking and repeating alarm carriage antique clock. This is a very clean and original example of a good quality carriage clock. The dial with Roman numerals over a subsidiary alarm dial within a gilt mask. The movement is in perfect working order with twin hammers striking a blued steel gong giving a lovely mellow chime, on the hours and half hours, with a loud strike on the alarm. The backplate stamped ‘PATENT SURETY POLLER’ within an oval and numbered 5096. The height is with the handle up 18 cm.
