A Fine Quality Mid 19th Century mahogany cased 8 Day fuse wallclock.c.1860. Original enamel dial with maker's name, John Agar of Bolton. Slim moulded edge surround with side and base opening doors. Shaped underside to the case(an earlier feature). Original brass bezel surround. Original chain driven movement, working, but not overhauled so no guarantee. Measures 14.5"wide x 6.5"deep x 16"long.
John Agar III, son of Thomas. 3rd generation of this highly regarded antique clock making family from York originally.
