A fine quality pair of Victorian Staffordshire pottery spaniel dogs. The pair sit typically upright on their haunches. The opposing dogs have wonderful expressions and are modelled beautifully. The decoration in overglaze colours is a russet red for the coat, with black muzzle and yellow eyes. They retain the gilding to the collars and chains which is often worn away. The condition is excellent with just the usual minor firing minor faults. The pair are wonderful early examples in really good condition and date to C.1860

Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf. Deliveries can be organised all over the world so please do ask wherever you are.
