An early Victorian drop dial twin fusee wall antique clock. A rarer example striking on a bell. A mahogany case with lovely grain to the choice flame mahogany and the original grape vine side carvings. A glazed pendulum aperture. A brass bezel surround to the dial. A 12" painted dial signed ' E FISHER BATH ' with blued steel hands. Twin side doors with silk backed sound fret slots. An 8-day duration double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of high quality. Circa 1850.

Edwin Fisher of Bath is recorded in Whites' 'Watch and Clockmakers in The city of Bath' book as working from 1828-1871.
