A fine quality convex dropdial wall antique clock. A mahogany case with choice veneers and brass inlay. Fan side carvings. A convex dial with cast brass bezel. An 8-day duration fusee timepiece mechanism.
The Earl family of clockmakers are well documented in AJ Moores' 'Clockmakers of Bristol' book and worked from 1777. This example dates to circa 1840.
