A substantial George III gentleman's bureau of generous proportions. Constructed from good figured mahogany, this late 18th Century bureau has 4 graduated and cock beaded drawers, each retaining the original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The solid mahogany fall opens to reveal a well fitted interior with various pigeon holes and drawers with a panelled centre cupboard which has a small secret compartment in the top. This quality piece of Georgian period antique furniture has a wonderful colour and patina and stands on it's original offset shaped bracket feet. Has good oak linings throughout and working locks and key. Ready for use in the home or office. More photos available. Delivery to most of U.K. £75.
