Geo IV Mahogany Fusee Bracket Clock

A smart Geo IV mahogany Bracket Clock by Barraud, London. Barraud were a family of clockmakers operating in London from 1727 to 1880. This antique clock probably dates from around 1830.
The good quality mahogany case has an arched top with folding carrying handle. It has fluted chamfered columns with brass inlay. To the sides are silk lined brass fishscale patern panels and it stands on brass bracket feet.
The good quality twin fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a strike / silent selector at 12 o'clock and a pull repeat. It has nice thick plates decorativly engraved on the back. It has its original pendulum and travel clamp.
The case is in good condition and a nice colour. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time. The dial has some crazing and a small area of touching up.

39cm (15.5") high excluding handle
32cm (12.5") wide
18cm (7") deep
