This is a very good quality and rare George II four drawer oak dresser base or serving table, 1730 probably originating from Montgomery, Wales, United Kingdom. All in all, this is a very beautiful piece of antique furniture. This dresser boasts four working drawers with a working key and original oak drawer linings. The Georgian brass swan neck handles are very old replacements. This section sits on a heavy freeze which is supported on four baluster legs to the front and two to the sides. The sides have raised cross-banded sides which mirrors the design of the drawer fronts. There is an original plate board back to the dresser.

The brass decorative items on top of the dresser are for display purposes only they are not included in the sale of this item.

Provenance-
This item probably originated from Montgomery in Wales. It would have provided significant storage space.

UK Returns & Refunds-
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. You will be given a refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. The buyer is required to cover the cost of transit. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

The item has been tightened and cleaned to reveal its original patination and is structurally sound. The brass swan neck handles and working key appear to be old replacements. The feet have been re-tipped a long time ago (this is not un-common). There is a repair to the back leg which is now extremely firm and there is now no movement to it. Part of one drawer lining base has been replaced some time ago. The oak plate back board may have had the ends re-shaped during George III reign. All in all, this item is in very good condition considering its age. Item code as236a002 Status Sold
