Here is an example of a good quality antique Welsh oak three-drawer carved dresser-serving base which has most likely been constructed from earlier timbers (possibly late 17th or early 18th century timbers) during the George III period, circa 1780 – 1800. The dresser is constructed of solid oak it features a three panel moulded edge oak top, profuse floral and vine carvings to the front of the dresser and sides. There are three working drawers, which features the original blue Georgian sugar drawer lining paper (quite rare to see). The drawers are oak lined and feature the original carved wooden knobs. The dresser base sits on turned oak feet. The back of the dresser features the original rough sawn hewn oak backboards. The dresser frame is constructed using the traditional pegged construction method. This is an ideal dresser to serve food and cutlery from in either the dining room or kitchen.
